UNDERSTANDING OILS AND GASOLINE

This is a 2 ½ hour class. 30 minutes devoted to checking in, food, drinks, and getting your seat. 2 hours devoted to class lecture, and question/answer.
You are taking this lecture class because you want to gain knowledge about the basic science of motor oil and gasoline as it relates to motorcycles AND learn the techniques of changing your motorcycle motor oil.
MOTOR OIL CHANGING TECHNIQUES:
Understanding the process of changing your oil, from warm up to cool down and checking your work to make sure it is done properly. The typical tools that are needed. The signs that your oil is telling you something else is wrong with your bike. Understanding the specific oils for your bike. Understanding filters. This class will have two hands on oil changing demos.
OILS & GASOLINE:
Today the stores and internet are full of oil selections and the marketing behind it can be overwhelming in making the proper choices. Why are there different oils and what are the labels truly telling us. Know how to identify your needs and why. Defining and understanding two stroke and four stroke motorcycles. Modern gasoline is changing, learn how it effects your bike and precautions to take in maintaining your bike when the tank is full. Learn the effects modern gasoline has on vintage motorcycles vs. a brand-new motorcycle. We’ll also discuss why and how filters are used with oil and gasoline.

    What you should know:

    Classes are from 6:00 – 8:30pm on their designated dates
    6pm-6:30 Sign in, food, drinks, find your seat.
    6:30 – 8:30pm: Lecture and question/answer

    Food and one drink is included with your class. Additional drinks available at menu cost.

    Classes are open to anyone age 18 and over. Our facility is a friendly environment that is meant to enjoy and inform. Come prepared and ready to learn, be on time, and silence your cell phones. We respect everyone’s time, therefor classes start ON TIME. The first 30 minutes is set aside to get your food, drinks, and find a seat. If you are late, come in quietly, check-in, and find a seat immediately

    Refund/exchange policy:
    We do NOT refund classes, however if you feel you cannot make the class, we can reschedule you for the same class at a later date OR exchange it for another class of the same cost. This MUST be done within 3 days before the class date by emailing or calling (TheVintageMonkey5@gmail.com or 916-668-7114). If you are a “no-show” to class, there is no refund or exchange.

    Our classes and lectures are structured and based off years of real industry experiences and knowledge. All instructors and/or speakers are qualified industry professionals. These classes are designed for personal knowledge and not structured to prepare anyone for becoming a technician.
