UNDERSTANDING MOTORCYCLE SERVICE & MAINTENANCE

and Bonus Battery Basics & Electrical

This is a 2 ½ hour class. 30 minutes devoted to checking in, food, drinks, and getting your seat. 2 hours devoted to class lecture, and question/answer.

MOTORCYCLE SERVICE & MAINTENANCE:
You are taking this lecture class because you want to learn and understand how to safely service your motorcycle.
We will discuss the things you should be checking on a regular basis, such as, but not limited to; oil changes, tires, and chain for example. What to check before and after each ride Vs monthly. How often should you be servicing your motorcycle. Basis diagnostics to help you understand your motorcycle better, including preventative measures.
Included in this class will be:

Understading Oils and Gasolines

Tires and Tread
Battery Basics and Electrical
•Battery Basics & science.
•Types of batteries
•Lead Acid, lithium batteries
•Amps
•Understanding chargers
•Symptoms of failing charging systems
•Basic charging system types
•Making the right decisions when you change your battery out (there will be demonstrations)
•Maintaining batteries during normal use vs. storing your
motorcycle
•The do’s and don’ts of motorcycle specific batteries
•Understanding the use of batteries and your "custom" motorcycle,
size does matter.
•We will open conversation on basic wiring understanding

    What you should know:

    Classes are from 6:00 – 8:30pm on their designated dates
    6pm-6:30 Sign in, food, drinks, find your seat.
    6:30 – 8:30pm: Lecture and question/answer

    Food and one drink is included with your class. Additional drinks available at menu cost.

    Classes are open to anyone age 18 and over. Our facility is a friendly environment that is meant to enjoy and inform. Come prepared and ready to learn, be on time, and silence your cell phones. We respect everyone’s time, therefor classes start ON TIME. The first 30 minutes is set aside to get your food, drinks, and find a seat. If you are late, come in quietly, check-in, and find a seat immediately

    Refund/exchange policy:
    We do NOT refund classes, however if you feel you cannot make the class, we can reschedule you for the same class at a later date OR exchange it for another class of the same cost. This MUST be done within 3 days before the class date by emailing or calling (TheVintageMonkey5@gmail.com or 916-668-7114). If you are a “no-show” to class, there is no refund or exchange.

    Our classes and lectures are structured and based off years of real industry experiences and knowledge. All instructors and/or speakers are qualified industry professionals. These classes are designed for personal knowledge and not structured to prepare anyone for becoming a technician. Great for people who want to do their own work or people who want to know how the work is done.
